Chelsea’s form of late has not exactly inspired confidence from either their fans or fantasy managers and after their 2-0 defeat to Manchester City at the weekend I would image that what little confidence was there is slowly evaporating but with West Brom next up for Chelsea there may be light at the end of the tunnel.
Cech has been ever present this season when fit and with nine clean sheets under his belt has the capability of producing a return worthy of investment. The Chelsea shot stopper has like we said nine clean sheets to his credit this season with five of those coming at the Bridge which bodes well for the visit of West Brom this coming weekend.
The Baggies head to London on the back of two successive victories over Liverpool and Sunderland but the team that travels to the capital will have one very noticeable difference from the team that has been playing well of late.
That difference is one Romelu Lukaku, the Baggies striker has been in great form in recent weeks, netting three goals in two games but because he is on loan from Chelsea to West Brom he is ineligible to play in this one due to the terms of his loan agreement.
Lukaku’s absence means that Shane Long will be left to lead the line and who knows we may yet see the return of Peter Odemwingie to the side, but one thing is for sure Lukaku’s absence is a huge blow to the Baggies and their goal scoring prospects and one that will surely aid Cech and Chelsea as they go in search of their tenth clean sheet of the season.
