The Captain decision is without doubt the most important decision of the week and no more so than at this point in the season as we get down to the nitty gritty with only 12 weeks left in the season.
After publishing our final thoughts on the top players to be considering for round 27, our thoughts now turn to that all important captain decision.
The first player in the mix is Manchester United’s star man Robin Van Persie, with four goals and two assists in his last six games the Dutch striker shows no sign of slowing down as United head to Loftus Road to face QPR this Saturday. The R’s have conceded 19 goals at home this season while the current league leaders have scored more goals on the road than any other side, so RVP’s prospects look good heading into this one.
Gareth Bale is the next man in contention for the armband this week as Tottenham make the short trip across London to face West Ham. Bale has found his goal scoring touch of late and is thriving in his central midfield role. With four goals in his last three games Bale’s form is in no doubt and given his penchants for scoring away from home the omens look good as he goes up against a Hammers defence that look likely to be without a number of defenders.
