There is no doubting that without the regularity to which Robin Van Persie find the back of the net Manchester United would not be in the position their are in now, the same can be said for many fantasy premier league teams. The consistency at which he has brought in attacking returns has certainly help fantasy managers attain their current league position.
With 19 goals and 10 assists to his credit this season the Dutch striker has undoubtedly saved many a fantasy manager from a bad week and with QPR next up on the fixture list for United is RVP a nailed on choice this week?
Quite simply put the answer has to be yes, Van Persie makes the trip to Loftus Road this weekend with 10 of his goals and 5 of his assits coming on his travels and with a lack luster R’s side making up the opposition this weekend the prospects look good for the former Arsenal man.
It must be said that QPR have certainly sured things up at the back of late since the arrival of Harry Redknapp to the club, but with the league’s leading goalscorer coming to town it is going to be a big ask for them to stop him in his tracks.
The R’s have conceded 19 goals at home this season which is the third worst record in the league, which given their current league position is no great surprise. United on the other hand have scored more goals that any other side away from home with 28.
With stats like that it is extremely hard to look past Van Persie for the coming week and with 50% of managers already owning him it could prove detrimental to your fantasy life if you opt to go without.
