Manchester City’s fall from grace of late has been well documented in recent times but after an emphatic win in the F.A Cup things look to be on the up for the Sky Blue’s ahead of this weekend’s top of the table clash with Chelsea at the Eithad.
City’s league form has certainly caused concern among fantasy managers of late after City failed to win any of their last three games, this coupled with the rotation up front has made it difficult for fantasy managers to show any faith in the title holders.
Having scored twice in City’s 4-0 victory over Leeds last weekend Aguero looks to have assured his place in the starting line up with Edin Dzeko likely to partner him up front. The Argentine international has been hit and miss this season but looks to have found his touch again with three goals and two assists in his last six league games.
Chelsea make the trip to Manchester this weekend themselves struggling with a crisis of confidence as the Chelsea faithful continue to heap pressure on intrim manager Rafa Benitez. Chelsea’s defence seems to be a bit unstable at the moment and with media sources reporting a bust up between John Terry and Benitez after the manager reportedly told the blue’s captain his performances where not good enough to warrant a place in the starting line up.
This game could have dyer consequences for Roberto Mancini should City loose ground on their local rivals and with United looking odds on for the win this weekend the title race could be over come Sunday.
Aguero’s selection this weekend is by no means a straight forward one, but with a game of such importance in the making he could well be the man to step up and keep his team in the hunt.
