Is It All About Bale This Weekend?

Wednesday, February 20th, 2013 at 6:57 pm by Phil Mc Grath

The Bale bandwagon looks to be gathering pace at a rate of knots ove recent weeks and as Spurs prepare of this weekend’s game with West Ham it shows no sign of slowing down.

Can you really afford not to have him in your team this weekend?

Bale is quickly becoming one of the must have properties for fantasy managers and with 13 goals and 4 assist to his credit this season it is easy to see why so much importance has been placed on the Welsh international.

Four goals in his last three games speaks volumes about his contribution to Tottenham’s push for Champions League football next season and fantasy managers who have not made the plunge and picked up Bale may live to regret it after this weekend if his recent performances are any indication.

Bale’s recent switch to a more centralsed midfield role is clearly reaping rewards for both Tottenham and fantasy managers alike and with a short trip across London on the cards for the Lilly Whites this weekend things may be about to get better.

On the road this season Bale has been at his most prolific with nine of his thirteen goals coming on his travels which is extraordinary considering most player thrive infront of their own support.

The Hammers defence is going to find it tough this weekend of that there is no doubt with Collins, O’ Brien and Mc Cartney all struggling for fitness. If West Ham can’t get at least two of those three back in time to face Tottenham on Monday night it could be open season at Upton Park with Bale the chief architect of the Hammers down fall.
