The importance of your midfield selections has never been as critical as it has been over recent weeks with the midfield magicians chipping in with large portions of the fantasy points over the last number of weeks.

Round 27 looks like being another weeks where midfielder could prove to be the difference and as usual our coaches here in the Managers Office have been hard at work, not only identifying those they suspect well do weel this weekend, but also those who amy offer an alternative root to success.

Gareth Bale (Tottenham) £5.4 million Fixture: West Ham (Away)

Four goals in his last three games speaks volumes about his contribution to Tottenham’s push for Champions League football next season and fantasy managers who have not made the plunge and picked up Bale may live to regret it after this weekend if his recent performances are any indication.

Frank Lampard (Chelsea) £5.9 million Fixture: Manchester City (Away)

The 34 year old has picked up 11 goals this season and shows no sign of slowing down over recent weeks as he powers on in an attempt to beat Bobby Tambling’s all-time record of 202 goals for Chelsea. With the news that Lampard will be rested for Chelsea Europa League clash against Sparta Prague in midweek, Lamps will surely feature in this weekend’s Premier League clash with Manchester City.

Moussa Sissoko (Newcastle) £3.6 million Fixture: Southampton (Home)

The Frech international has featured in every game since his arrival from Toulouse and although it was thought that perhaps we would see him in a more defensive midfield role that hasn’t been the case with Alan Pardew opting to deploy him just behind Papiss Cisse.

James Morrison (West Brom) £3.9 million Fixture: Sunderland (Home)

The 26 year old Scottish international is beginning to show the benefits of playing with a striker who can hit the mark as has been evident with Lukaku’s recent run of form notching four goals in six games Morrison’s prospects look a lot better going into round 27.
