Aston Villa’s poor form this season will have frustrated many fantasy premier league managers with many hopeful at the start of the season the new Villa boss Paul Lambert could turn the club around and produce some fantasy prospect worth investing in.

With 5 goals in four games Benteke is looking a real prospect for fantasy managers looking for a differential

Things may not be going to plan for Lambert and Villa but he has produced one fantasy prospect that is hard to ignore despite the Villains poor league form. Christian Benteke has been a real gem of a find this season since his arrival at Villa Park from Genk.

The Belgian international has racked up 11 goals and 4 assists this season and with five of those eleven coming in his last four games Benteke is the most inform striker in the league which is remarkable given Villa’s current league standing.

Villa are one point clear of the relegation zone and there is no doubting that they have their work cut out for them if they are to avoid the drop.

The Birmingham based club welcome Manchester City, QPR, Liverpool, Fulham, Sunderland and Chelsea to Villa Park in their remaining home fixtures of the season and despite the fact that Villa have only won two of their last seven games at home Benteke has managed to score in three of those games proving he can still produce fantasy points even if his side can’t produce league points.

Away from home Benteke has been far more precise with his shooting notching up six goals in his last five away days. As far as Villa’s remaining away fixtures they travel to Arsenal, Reading, Stoke, Manchester United, Norwich and Wigan. Again these games will not be the easiest for a side that are struggling for results but with Benteke in such good form on the road he could still produce the goods come match day.

Villa’s fixtures are some of the toughest faced by any of the current bottom sides and they will have to really step it up a gear to get out of trouble, but with goals and assists against the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Everton already this season anything is possible for the £5.5 million priced striker.
