Newcastle’s recent acquisition’s from France seem to bedding in nicely at St James Park and non more so than midfielder Moussa Sissoko, Sissoko joined the Toon Army from Ligue 1 side Toulouse for an undisclosed fee.
The 23 year old has played for France on 5 occasions and also has Champions League experience under his belt too and looks to be a stylish box to box midfielder who can play both in a defensive role and also more attacking if required.
It is this attacking role that has seen Sissoko excel over recent weeks as Alan Pardew opts to deploy him in “the hole” behind Papiss Cisse and there is no doubting that he will have certainly caught the eye of plenty of would be fantasy investors.
Sissoko has gone on to claim two goal and two assists in three games for his new club and with Newcastle finally looking like they are turning a corner fantasy investment may not be all that far away. Fixture wise Newcastle welcome Southampton, Stoke, Fulham, Sunderland, Liverpool and Arsenal to St James Park for their remaining home fixtures of the season and with the Toon Army currently sitting precariously just out side the drop zone we can expect some big performances from them over the coming weeks.
On the road Alan Pardew’s side travel to Swansea, Wigan, Manchester City, West Brom, West Ham and QPR in their final way fixtures and looking at the fixtures these games are going to be very interesting if Newcastle are still im and around the relegation zone. Newcastle’s new injection of French blood will give them strength and dept going into the final games of the season.
Sissoko’s talent is there for see and and although there were some worries that Sissoko’s place in the Toon starting line up could be at risk with Cheick Tiote finding his way back to fitness but with Newcastle manager Alan Pardew opting to pair up Tiote and Cabaye in the centre of the park Sissoko looks set to continue in his more advanced central midfield role tucking in behind Papiss Cisse.
