Arsenal’s Full Back full of promise- Nacho Monreal

Arsenal go into the weekend against Sunderland on the back of a hard fought clean sheet against Stoke last time out and with a trip to the Stadium of Light next up for the Gunners they will be looking to extend their unbeaten run as try and get back in the race for those all important Champions League places.

Monreal wastes no time in getting stuck in as he claims a clean sheet on his debut against Stoke.

Nacho Monreal was a transfer deadline day addition to the Arsenal back line and with news that Kieran Gibbs is likely to be out of action for a number of weeks Monreal was dropped straight into the starting line up last weekend against the Potters and did very will as he was introduced the tough attacking style of Stoke.

The former Malaga defender also offers potential going forward from left back, the Spanish international produced four assists in his debut season at Malaga and followed that up with a goal and three assists in 14 La Liga starts this time before making the move to London, which will come as welcomed news for fantasy managers.

Despite Sunderland’s recent good run of form the Black Cats have struggled to find goals at home this season and have one of the worst goal scoring records in the league having only managed to find the back of the net 14 times this season at the Stadium of Light.

Coming into the Irish Times Fantasy Premier league at a very reasonable £4.2 million price tag the 26 year old offers fantasy managers a cheap way into the Gunners back line and with a home game against Villa next up after Sunderland Monreal could be a good investment for the coming weeks.
