There is no doubt about the fact that Gareth Bale is one of the best talents in the Premier League. He was excellent against West Brom last week creating chance after chance until he eventually found the back of the net with a wonder strike that flew past Ben Foster in the West Brom goal to give Spurs a well-deserved 0-1 win.
This season the Welshman has scored 11 gaols and contributed 2 assists to Tottenham from 21 Premier League appearances. Although he is slightly expensive in fantasy football his returns are justifying his hefty price tag.
Bale has an ownership of 20% in the Irish Times Fantasy Premier League game which means if you did not have him in your fantasy premier league team over the last few weeks you have lost ground as he has scored two goals in his last 2 games.
Tottenham are currently sitting in 4th spot with 3 points breathing space over Everton and they will be looking at this weekend as an opportunity to increase that distance as Tottenham host Newcastle and Everton travel to Old Trafford to play Manchester United. By the end of the weekend Tottenham could be six points clear of Everton in 4th place if results go their way.
Prior to the latest influx of French talent to St. James Park, Alan Pardews men were really struggling and so far this season they have struggled to put a run of back to back results together. Despite a powerful performance against Chelsea we believe that the Newcastle midfield will fail to control Bale as he continues to improve in his new central midfield role. He will be up against Perch and Cayabe who will really struggle to keep the Welshman quiet.
If you don’t have the Welshman in your team this weekend you are taking a chance of losing more ground on the 20% who have invested in him.
