Fantasy Football Tips: Midfielders to Consider for Round 26 of the Irish Times Fantasy Premier League

As we look ahead to round 26 of the Irish Times Fantasy Premier League it is hard to see past some of the biggest fantasy football names past and present.

Juan Mata (Chelsea) £5.3 million Fixture: Wigan (Away)

Juan Mata is a fantasy football dream who has continued to deliver despite the fact that Roman Abramovich master plan of installing Rafa Benitez has not yielded the results that the Chelsea owner billionaire expected.



Steven Gerrard (Liverpool) £5.8 million Fixture: West Brom and Swansea (Home)

The Liverpool midfielder has created 9 goals this season putting him level with Spanish sensation Juan Mata. When you include his goal scoring tally of 7 for the season from 25 games that means the Liverpool ledgend has delivered a fantasy football return in 64% of his appearnces this season.


Gareth Bale (Tottenham) £5.4 million Fixture: Newcastle (Home)

Bale has an ownership of 20% in the Irish Times Fantasy Premier League game which means if you did not have him in your fantasy premier league team over the last few weeks you have lost ground as he has scored two goals in his last 2 games.


Robert Snodgrass (Norwich) £3.8 million Fixture: Fulham (Home) 

Robert Snodgrass is Norwich Citys highest scoring midfielder with an ownership of just under 7%. So far this season he has put together a string of excellent performances but surprisingly he has only scored 4 goals and collected 3 assists. His performances in the yellow of Norwich have deserved more.
