Having spoken about Benteke’s recent fixture proof run of form he was once again on hand to notch up two goals against Everton at the weekend, but once again it was his side’s inability to defend that cost them all three points.
Having now scored or assisted ten of his side’s last 13 goals Benteke is a real contender for a cheap differential striker despite the fact that Paul Lambert’s side have now gone eight games without a win.
The fixture list however it would seem certainly isn’t going to be doing them any favours anytime soon with games coming up against Arsenal, City and Liverpool in the next six.
There is no doubting that many may choose to overlook Benteke to due to his sides poor results as of late.
However at a very reasonable £5.5 million in the game he may continue to surprise fantasy managers as he looks to singled handedly save the Villa from relegation.
