Captain Tips: Round 23 of the Irish Times Fantasy Premier League

As fantasy football managers are well aware  the all important captain choice is one that can turn a good fantasy week into a great fantasy week and likewise the opposite can be said, when your captain doesn’t deliver it seems the world and their mother has backed a captain who has. So as usual here in the managers office our coaches have sifted through this week’s player tips and cast a close eye on those they believe to be captain material.

This week’s captain tips see’s three of the most inform goal scorers feature with the big question being, who will out perform the others? Well our thoughts on the matter are this, Luis Suarez goes into this weekend’s game against Norwich at Anfield with his name once again in the news for all the wrong reasons. Suarez  admitted he “fell” in order to win a penalty when the Reds played Stoke a few weeks back which has not gone down well with either his manager of the press. The one thing of course that we have learned tho is that when all eyes are on him he invariably does very well, as was evident after the fall out from the “race row”. Norwich of course have been poor on the road this season, which should mean that Suarez will get chances to silence his critics.

Robin van Persie is the next player on our radar, the Dutch striker has been sensational for United this season and with a trip to White Hart Lane on the cards it would be foolish to write off the ex Arsenal man putting one pass his former north London rivals.

The last man on the list is Swansea’s Michu, the Spaniard has been quiet by his standards in recent weeks have failed to score in his last three, but with a game against Stoke on the cards at the Liberty Stadium coming up this weekend he could be quite capable of heaping more misery onto a Potters defence that seemingly just can help but concede goals lately.

Can Suarez make the headlines for the right reasons this weekend?
