As we stated earlier in the day Manchester City had lodged an appeal over Vincent Kompany’s dismissal against Arsenal on Sunday. The club have just announced on their website that their appealed has been successful.
The Manchester City
captain was shown a straight red card after referee Mike Dean
ruled he had gone into a tackle with Jack Wilshere
with both feet off the ground.
But Roberto Mancini confirmed in his post match interview that City would fight the decision, and an appeal was lodged with the Football Association
on Monday.
And a statement on the FA website read: “An Independent Regulatory Commission has today upheld a claim of wrongful dismissal regarding Manchester City’s Vincent Kompany.
Kompany,
who was facing a three-match suspension, will now be available for Saturday’s home game against Fulham. which will come as a great relief to fantasy managers with Kompany in their ranks.
