Fantasy Premier League Managers are taking advantage of Rooney's Injury by buying Hernandez who has scored 3 goals in his last 2 games

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Wayne Rooney will miss the Red Devils clash with Liverpool on the 13th of January at Old Trafford.

In his Friday press conference Sir Alex said ”Wayne is still injured. It is not serious but it is going to take longer than we thought, probably another two weeks.

“He won’t be fit for Liverpool. Hopefully another couple of weeks will sort it out. Nonetheless, it is a loss. You always want your best players available.”

This is good news for the sharp 4% of fantasy premier league managers who have Javier Hernandez in their fantasy football team at present.
Since Rooney suffered his knee injury on Christmas Day Manchester United have scored 10 goals with the Mexican Hernandez scoring 3 goals.
The Little Pea’s goals included a winner against Newcastle and a brace away to Wigan but unfortunately for fantasy football owners Ferguson elected to drop Hernandez for their fixture with West Brom on the 29th of December.
Hernandez looked to on his way out of Old Trafford at the start of the season with limited appearances and a poor run of form towards the end of last season.
The Mexican has come back strong scoring goals in the Champions League and picking up an impressive 8 goals and 4 assists from Four Premier League starts and nine substitute appearances so far this season.
Manchester United have fixtures coming up against Liverpool, Tottenham, Southampton, Fulham and Everton coming up.
As Rooney looks set to miss another 2-3 weeks having Hernandez looks a good option in the short term. He will be a player you will have to monitor as rotation will always be an issue but a difficult Champions League two leg draw with Real Madrid could provide Hernandez with some extra Premier League  games.
