Fantasy Premier League Star Wayne Rooney suffered Knee Ligament Injury on Christmas Day

Javier Hernandez looks the best Manchester United replacement for the injured Wayne Rooney who looks set to be sidelined for a few rounds of the fantasy premier league.

Another effect of this injury to the Englishman is the fact that Van Persie gets fewer fantasy premier league points when the Mexican is on the pitch.

Wayne Rooney suffered a knee ligament injury towards the end of training on Christmas Day. The injury caused the United Forward to miss the Red Devils 4-3 victory over Newcastle on St.Stephens Day.

It is a ligament behind the knee that is believed to be causing the problems for Rooney which is a relief as he is only expected to be missing for two or three weeks.

His return to action in the Premier League has been targeted for Manchester United’s game against Liverpool.

Fantasy Premier League managers who have Rooney should now be looking to sell him and Javier Hernandez shows some real short term value.

He will play upfront in place of the injured Englishman further advanced than Robin Van Persie. The Little Pea scored the winning goal in the last few moments of Manchester United’s victory over Newcastle and this season has a better goals and assists return per minutes played than Dutch Fantasy Premier League favourite Robin Van Persie.

It should also be noted that the fantasy football points return of Robin Van Persie is reduced when Hernandez is playing as Manchester United’s out and out striker.
