With the Christmas rush it would be easy to forget to make changes to your fantasy premier league team. The most important decision as ever is who to make captain. This week it is difficult to choose a standout captain due to the fixture schedule.

Our three selections make it into our captain tips for very different reasons. Wayne Rooney was substituted against Swansea for his poor form according to his manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Rooney has a history of scoring goals against Newcastle and will be looking to get another goal against the magpies.

Michu is scoring goals and at the moment the Spaniard is playing upfront and he is flourishing under Michael Laudraup at Swansea. The Swansea star has scored a number of great goals this season but the most exciting development in his game is that he scored a simple strikers goal against Manchester United.

Reading were unlucky against Manchester City last weekend but at this point they need victories which will ultimately give Michu chances to add to his thirteen premier league goals.
