Brendan Rogers Closes in on Daniel Sturridge, Your Fantasy Football Team Needs Him!

Chelsea only have three registered strikers in the Irish Times Fantasy Premier League game and it looks like the transfer of Daniel Sturridge to Liverpool is a done deal.

It will be very interesting to see Suarez playing behind Sturridge for Liverpool with both players fantasy football points Potential set to increase.

On Sunday afternoon Chelsea beat Aston Villa 8-0 with ten different players scoring and assisting which means that perhaps Chelsea only need Torres and Hazard for the rest of the season. The general feeling is that the pensioners need to do business in January because Torres could always go on another dry spell or get injured, can they lure Falcao?

Chelsea have made the decision that the 23 year old is surplus to their requirements which means that Liverpool are signing one of England’s hottest young prospects who has already played for Manchester City too.

Sturridge could be the missing link from Liverpool and for fantasy football he is a tempting option because Liverpool have created more chances (348)than any other Premier League team.

Liverpool also top the charts for hitting the woodwork with nine and have also missed more shots than any other team with 152 chances off target.

This season Daniel Sturridge has only scored one goal which came in an eight minute appearance at White Hart Lane in a game that Chelsea won 4-2.

Last season the Englishman scored eleven Premier League goals and five assists which is impressive as he played a significant number of games on the right wing.

Daniel Sturridge is £6.4 million and is a very tempting option and does appear to be the missing piece for Liverpool to successfully compete for Champions League qualification.

Last weeks defeat to Aston Villa was characteristic of the flaws currently on show at Anfield as they made chances early in the game, did not convert and went on to lose despite not playing too bad.

When Sturridge completes his transfer to Liverpool you should consider bringing him into your fantasy premier league team.
