As we all know the most important decision fantasy premier league mangers have to make each week is who to hand the captain’s armband to. As we have stated over the course of the week many of those big names with big potential have yet to light the league on fire over recent weeks and many have begun to look elsewhere for fantasy options and our coaches here in the managers office are now different.
With a number of teams facing some tough fixtures in round 12 this week’s captain tips have had to look to some of those who are beginning to show the form we have come to expect of a fantasy captain. All three are expected to continue where they left off last week as they head into the weekend with some favourable fixtures. Maroune Fellaini is expected to add to the goal and assist last weekend against Sunderland as Everton travel to the Madejski Stadium to face a Reading side who are struggling to find results since their return to the top flight. David Silva began to signs of form that saw him become a fantasy favourite last season as he chipped in with an assist last time out against Tottenham, this week City welcome Villa to the Eithad and with the Vilains failing to beat City in at the Eithad in their last five attempts Silva’s prospects look good. Dimitar Berbatov is the third player to make it into our captain tips this week and for obvious reasons. Berbatov was instrumental in Fulham’s 3-3 draw at the Emirates in Round 11 and as the Cottagers welcome Sunderland to London based on the Black Cats recent form there is no reason Berbatov can’t add to his current tally of 5 goals and 3 assists.
