Fantasy Football Tips: Captain Tips for Round 9 of the Premier League

In a very difficult week that see’s Chelsea take on Manchester United and Everton welcome their city rivals Liverpool to Godison fantasy managers will be wondering whether or not Juan Mata or Robin Van Persie are still worth considering for the armband this weekend, looking at the pair however RVP scored a hat-trick at the Bridge last season and is in good form off the back of a 9 point return last week and Mata is also in great form with 3 goals and 4 assists in 4 games and he has proven he can perform against quality opposition as was evident last weekend. It really is a tough call but I can’t see either keeping a clean sheet this weekend and we expect both to do well.

Gareth Bale has been playing very well this season and has finally started to deliver for the fantasy football managers who have kept faith with the Welshman. He was of course absent last week as Spurs went down 4-2 to Chelsea as he attended the birth of his first child and we also left out of the traveling Tottenham side that travelled in mid week, but is expected back to face Southampton this weekend.

With this in mind here are our final tips for fixture week 9 of The Irish Times Fantasy Premier League.
