Fantasy Football Deadline Day Transfers: Dimitar Berbatov Fulham Potential

Its not difficult to see why Dimitar Berbatov left Old Trafford for a return to London to play for Fulham. The Bulgarian forward again links up with Martin Jol after the pair had a successful spell at Tottenham a number of years ago.

At every club Berbatov has played, he has scored goals and also offers real assist potential that will suit Fulhams brand of football.


Despite his limited appearances for Manchester United the talented forward managed to score 48 goals and get 20 assists in 108 appearances since he moved from Tottenham. At White Hart Lane Berbatov managed 27 goals and 15 assists over his two year period with Tottenham.

As soon as I was aware of Fulham’s interest my decision to join was an easy one to make. There is a close and personal feel around the club and I can’t wait to get started.


At £6.8 million pounds Berbatov is an expensive option for The Irish Times managers to purchase but he has massive potential to deliver this season. We are hopeful that Berbatov will get a role behind the inform Petric that could be similar to Berbatov and Robbie Keane a few years ago.

Fulham score the majority of their goals at Cravin Cottage managing 36 goals in their 18 home games last season, however away from home they only score 12 goals.

October: The Month for Berbatov?

The next three games for Fulham are difficult with inform West Brom and Wigan followed by Man City. The month of October is the best period to be looking at the Fulham frontman with Southampton, Aston Villa and Reading looking like opponents that will concede againt Tottenham.
