Stringer has chance to shine again

    Carl O'Malley

So, thoughts? Gerry called it spot on in this morning’s paper.
Stringer is in to quicken up the service to Sexton and the backline, while Murphy’s inclusion at fullback, albeit enforced, signals a similar intent to play a high tempo game.

There are few surprises elsewhere, but again Seán O’Brien’s omission is tough on the Carlow man.

One imagines he would thrive in the forwards battle against the physical Pumas.

Again no big surprises with the majority of change enforced by injury. would like to have seen O’Brien get another run out he does deserve it.
I hope that Buckley can step up well on return from the injury. Good front five is going to be vital on Sunday.
Delighted to see Sexton -Stringer combo, eventually. That will be good to see that at at work. I bet ROG would have loved to be facing contepomi again, but why add any more spice to the mix with is hot enough already, and Sexton will do well again.
Come on Ireland lets have a great match and a win!

Good backline but I am concerned about the pack, in particular the front row. What is the point of having ball carrying forwards if they can’t scrummage, especially against Argentina. Court should feel hard done by!

    • baz says:

      Agree with Gareth.

Court had good good game when he came on and would bring something to the scrum against Argentina.

Would also have liked to have seen Earls getting a start, although I can see him coming on in the second half.
