- Re PRSI, I am confused. When submitting tax returns Form11 online over the years, I always had to pay PRSI on the bank interest earned on my deposits (i.e. bank interest on deposits was always liable to PRSI). I am self employed. Can you clarify this please.

If a person gets say €205k ex gratia severance payment on 31st jan 2013 do they loose top slicing relief on all the €205K or only on the amount over 200K i.e.€5k? would seem unfair if someone getting €199k ends up better off by getting top slicing relief than someone getting 200k
