Breadon: Quite numerous: Ulster, Leitrim, Midlands etc. Ir. Ó Bradáin, which applies in Ulster and Connacht. In Leinster, it is more likely to be an English toponymic which has been gaelicised de Bréadún. Also ocurs as Braden and Bredin. SI.
Bredin: Quite numerous: Connacht & Ulster. Ir. Ó Bradáin. See Breadon.
de Bréadún: Very rare: Leitrim. Ir. Lang. See Breadon.
de Bréadún: Breadon: líon beag: Laighin. A-Normannaigh ó log-ainm i Sasana.
Ó Bradáin: Braden, Breadon: líon beag in Ulaidh & Connachta. Tugadh Salmon agus fiú Fisher ar an gclann sa, bíodh is nach bhfuil aon bhaint acu le h-éisc! Is cosúil go bhfuil na sloinnte go léir ag tosú le "brad" préimhithe i bhfocal a chiallaíonn anam, spiorad.
