What is the Reader Panel?
The Irish Times Reader Panel is made up of readers like you. Our panel members give their opinions on advertising and editorial content appearing in The Irish Times and irishtimes.com and answer surveys on their consumer habits. No matter how frequently or infrequently you read The Irish Times in print or online, you are eligible to be a panel member.
How do I join?
To become a panel member is quick and easy. Just click through to the sign-up form and registration takes about 5 minutes. We will ask you to provide some basic background information, which allows us to group your answers with others from similar demographics.
How does it work?
You receive email invitations with a link to the online questionnaire. For each survey answered, you collect points which can be traded for rewards such as gift vouchers or donations to charitable causes. Panellists are not required to complete every questionnaire – you can do so at your convenience.
Is my feedback anonymous?
Yes, all your feedback is completely anonymous. The panel is hosted by our business partner, RAM Panel, who are experts in managing reader panels for news publications. RAM returns all survey results to us in aggregate form only. Panel members are anonymous to The Irish Times, so results from a survey can never be traced back to you as an individual. RAM will only use any personal data in conjunction with RAM surveys. RAM will not disclose personal information to any third party. Further information is available on RAM Panel’s FAQ page.
