Business to Consumer Director
The Irish Times, Ireland’s leading independent quality newspaper with its news and information website irishtimes.com, wishes to recruit a Senior Executive Director to take responsibility for Business to Consumer activities.
This new position, reporting to and working closely with the Managing Director, will play a central role in the creation of competitive and breakthrough strategies for news and content sales. This solution-focused senior executive will play an important part in the development of The Irish Times as a media organisation and in its digital pass strategy.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strong commercial awareness and leadership ability, coupled with the capacity to engage intuitively and influence across all levels of the company. Core competencies will include strategic thinking, innovation, sound judgment and strong stakeholder management.
The role will also include overall responsibility for newspaper sales and marketing. The appointee will work closely with senior editors in supporting audience development, content solutions and product development from existing and new sources.
Candidates must demonstrate a clear consumer and reader focus and a willingness to operate in an environment with changing priorities and demands to support effective delivery of projects and campaigns.
A passion for The Irish Times and our audience both in print and digital is essential. The role will require a flexible working style, good management and strong interpersonal and communications skills.
