Advertising Sales Director
The Irish Times, Ireland’s leading independent quality newspaper with its news and information website irishtimes.com, wishes to recruit an Advertising Sales Director.
The Irish Times sales team provides innovative, creative and dynamic advertising solutions for our clients. We pride ourselves on offering a complete sales service to our customers that enhances their brand and gets results. The person appointed will be responsible for and lead all aspects of our advertising department, digitally and in print, including the creation and implementation of our advertising sales strategy, business development and new product and associated revenue opportunities. He/she will have drive and ambition and will play a central role in the development of The Irish Times as a media organisation and in the advancement of its digital pass strategy. He/she will have the creative vision to build on our advertising revenue.
This position reports directly to the Managing Director working closely with other senior managers and editors in supporting audience development, content solutions and product development.
Candidates must have a successful track record of managing a sales team within a quality and performance orientated culture, along with the ability to maintain and develop key client relationships. A strategic focus and a willingness to operate in an environment with changing demands and priorities coupled with strong commercial awareness and leadership capabilities are critical to the role.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior sales director with a flexible working style and strong interpersonal and communications skills. A passion for The Irish Times and our audience both in print and digital is essential.
