BE NOSEY in London next month when some of the city’s most unusual locations will be open to the public free of charge in an Open House Weekend on September 17th/18th.
There will be tours of over 700 locations, including buildings, bridges and towers. There will be a tour of the Bank of England, a look at a “liveaboard” community of houseboats, as well as walking or biking tours of architecturally significant neighbourhoods. There’s a focus on the Lea Valley on the eastern side of London, where many of the 2012 Olympic events will be held. This has received a £9 billion infusion to revitalise its buildings and infrastructure before next summer.

A tasty journey to France
IRISH FERRIES is hosting a wine fair on its Oscar Wilde ferry, sailing from Rosslare to Roscoff on September 16th.
