Shakespeare in the Park (Central Park in New York, that is) is celebrating its 50th anniversary and has announced two free open-air plays. The first is As You Like It (June 5-30), followed by Into the Woods (July 23-August 25). You can pick up two free tickets per person from the theatre at 1pm on the day.

The nearby Hotel @ Times Square offers free wifi, breakfast, national phone calls and newspapers, and kids under 12 stay free. Rooms in June and August from $234.99 (€177).
