The Bluewall Gallery is a contemporary art gallery in Corracanvy, Co Cavan, where gallery director Joe Keenan launches his inaugural exhibition, Breath, today. The group show includes work by six Irish artists – Eileen McDonagh (sculpture), Gabhann Dunne (painting), Alison Kay (ceramics), Michael Fortune (photography and film), Marianne Keating (print) and Brian Connolly (performance).

The gallery includes three exhibition spaces and a sculpture garden overlooking Lough Oughter. It is located 10km outside Cavan town in the direction of Killykeen Forest Park.

The gallery aims to produce a programme of exhibitions that will be “stimulating, challenging and accessible”. Today’s launch is by invitation only, and the exhibition opens to the public tomorrow (2pm-5pm). Weekday opening hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 10am-5pm.
